A specialty jewelry casting business needed two very different customer experiences. One customer wanted to buy casting products online. Another needed to submit a custom CAD or casting project, approve the work, pay in stages and stay updated until delivery. We built both.
Clear product positioning, real product imagery, ecommerce checkout and an SEO foundation built for long-term organic discovery.
Public product photography from the storefront now anchors the ecommerce side of the case study.
Client identity and exact treatment formulas have been withheld for publication.
The ecommerce side of the business needed a clean way to sell specialty casting products. The custom services side had a much longer journey. Those customers might start with a sketch, a CAD file or an idea and then move through design, casting, payment and delivery.
A modern store, better product presentation, clear navigation, ecommerce checkout and an SEO structure built to keep working after launch.
Turn field notes into proposals, finalize quotes, process invoices and prepare the next season’s work.
Casting products are technical, but the buying experience does not need to feel complicated. We rebuilt the site around clearer product presentation, a modern visual system and a straightforward path from discovery to checkout.
The store has generated $30,166.49 in total sales, $29,739.00 in net sales, 74 orders and 213 products sold.
The larger operational problem was custom CAD and casting work. New projects were being started manually. Files came in through disconnected conversations. Payment follow-up happened separately. Customers called or emailed for updates. The team had to remember where every project stood and keep the customer informed at the same time.
Collect the job details and understand what the customer wants.
Collect the job details and understand what the customer wants.
Coordinate deposits and remaining balances outside the project workflow.
Keep customers updated manually while production moves forward.
We turned the customer journey into a guided workflow. The customer can start the project, provide the files, understand the cost, make the required payment and then follow the work through completion without stitching the experience together from emails and phone calls.
Complete an intake form with the project details and the type of CAD or casting work required.
Add design images and CAD files when available so the team has the source material in the project record.
See casting details, expected metal usage, project numbers and the information needed to understand the scope.
Move directly into the staged payment workflow without waiting for a separate payment conversation.
Follow the project as it moves through the production pipeline and see what stage it has reached.
Keep project communication attached to the project instead of spreading it across inboxes and phone calls.
Complete the remaining payment when the project reaches the appropriate point in the workflow.
Request pickup or provide the preferred shipping destination when the finished piece is ready.
The portal supports the company's payment model directly. Customers pay 60% upfront to move the project forward, then complete the remaining 40% after the project is finished.
Initial payment collected before production moves forward.
Remaining balance collected after the work is finished.
Instead of switching between the portal, email and phone calls to answer routine project questions, the team can message the customer inside the website. The customer can return to the same project later and still see the conversation in context.
Once the custom piece is complete and the remaining payment is handled, the customer can choose how they want to receive the finished cast. Pickup and shipping preferences stay with the same project record.
The project starts with ideas, drawings and CAD files, then ends with physical casting and finishing. The portal exists to make everything around that skilled work easier to manage.
The ecommerce side can attract and convert product buyers independently, while custom casting customers have a dedicated workflow for intake, files, payments, communication, project status and fulfillment.
We build customer-facing websites and the custom systems behind them, so sales, intake, payments, communication and operations can work as one experience.
